Unlike in other parts of the United States that I am familiar with, lawn ornaments are a common sight here. Maybe it’s because the drought or the semi-arid climate makes it hard to decorate with flowers. Maybe it's because of the number of retired people who have made this their home have impacted the “Thermop” culture. Or maybe it is simply because Thermopolites don't have to worry, for the most part, about people stealing their ornaments.
Whatever the reason, you will enjoy walking the streets and admiring the Thermop creativity.
