Driving south from Worland, the Hot Springs State Park is one of the first places people see when they come into Thermopolis. Because of the mineral water which flows from the ground, fountains turn into structures like these:
The Tepee Fountain (below), farther inside the park, is the one most tourists take pictures of.
The above shot is the back of the fountain where the water runs out into Bighorn River. The following two photographs below show the actual runoff. This is just a miniature of the mineral cliffs which are in the subsequent pictures. It gives you an idea of how the cliffs were formed.
