utility grid, part 1

Most of us take for granted our connection to the utility grid, and just as many of us fail to notice it in the landscape of our every day lives. In the same way that our eyes have a "blind spot" where our optic nerve enters the eye but we don't see it because our brain compensates for this, so we do the same with the utility grid all around us.
